Silverbacks' Eeuwes signs with Argos

The London Silverbacks continue to lead the way as one of Canada's top minor league football teams as kicker/punter Rob Eeuwes signs a contract with the Toronto Argonauts (CFL).

A former Mcgill athlete Eeuwes had an outstanding 2007 rookie season with the Silverbacks by providing consistent field position and virtually putting on a clinic with his gifted leg in the team's championship victory in Las Vegas. His outstanding contributions earned him the team's annual Special Teams MVP award.

Eeuwes becomes the 8th former Silverbacks signed to a pro contract within the last year with a number of others expected to be signed as CFL training camps draw closer.
